How to redesign the newsarticle webpart

Hi, I want to simpify the news-article webpart so that the users that writes these articles dont have to use the default CreatePage.aspx (where you have to select a page-tempate, type the filename etc.) How can I modify this function/page? Regards, KurtNorway

How to parse the username - (is: by lname, fname) - (want: fname lname)

How can I globally reorder the appearance of the username - for example in announcements the user is displayed like: by Last Name, First Name our designers feel this sounds to mitilaristic and would prefer just: First Name Last Name Is there a function which can be modified to do as I want?
