1 week to configure newly installed MOSS: Input appreciated

I have 1 week to tighten my configuration before I have to start developing the pages and site hierarchy.   This is my first real build of MOSS and I want to take this time to make it as rock solid as I can.   As I am the only SP person, I'm coming to this community for assistance.

Here is a rundown of what I've got to play with:

    • 1 Database server (SQL reporting services turned on)
    • 3 WFE servers
    • 1 InfoPath Server (VM)
    • 1 Search Server
    • 1 Cache Server

For those who are experienced in MOSS deployments, what would your next steps be?  The InfoPath server is for testing/development and is not crucial to the deployment.  So I can figure that one out in my spare time.   I have to get the servers for the Search and Cache built this morning/afternoon before I can load in their components, so I won't be touching those configs until later on this week.  I'm meeting with our main Exchange guy to discuss an OU to put in the SP-created distribution routes for directory management services.   Other than that I'm trying to figure out what to do next.

    THanks!!!

From your configuration I suspect that you need to configure high availability on your server farm. However, you only install 1 SQL server which will be the weakest point of your server farm configuration - hence, no high availability for the overall result.

Ok, back to the question. After doing those installation, you should enable NLB for 3 WFE , configure kerberos, and start to configure the main server, following by other server.
