Hi,
I am totally new to SharePoint Services but need to use it for a project. The administrators have it already installed and have created the site for me -- but now I have to make it look nice.
I know I can apply themes using FrontPage, and have played around with that, but I want to do more. I want to apply a custom theme like the scenarios depicted on the Demos & Presentation page (http://www.sharepointcustomization.com/resources/demos.htm) shown on the Microsoft SharePoint Customization site.
However, I can't find documentation on that site on how to actually do that. There is one article in the demo area titled "Building Custom Microsoft SharePoint Sites with Templates and Site Definitions." But, I found that really confusing.
On the other hand, the FrontPage 2002 sample site (http://www.sharepointsample.com), pretty much outlines a step by step process, which is what I need! Can I use these themes and templates if I'm using FrontPage 2003?
And, should I be concerned with pages that become unghosted if I use FrontPage to edit a SharePoint site?
Sorry if some of these questions seem rather basic. Please don't flame me - I am TOTALLY new to to Microsoft environment.
If I really need to post this topic elsewhere, let me know.
Thanks,
SAnkerbrand
