We are running on Exchange 2007

I just hope that someone can advise me whether should we use

a) Exhcange 2007 server rules

b) MS CRM

c) Sharepoint Services

d) Sharepoint Portal

The flow is as follow

1) Create email according to project id; project id is ABC123, the email will be ABC123@mydomian.com

2) External user send a mail to ABC123@mydomain.com

3) Our mail server will receive the mail and sort accordingly to the project id

4) The mail need to be copy to respective public folder according to the project id; ABC123

5) When our internal user read the mail and do a reply

6) The sent mail must also be copy to the public folder of that project id

7) The sent mail should also have a "send on behalf" so as to let the external user receiving the mail knows who actually reply them.

The above requirement can be achieved using Exchange, however looking at the rate at which the Public Folder usage is reducing & SharePoint being capable of doing this & much more I will recommend MOSS 2007.

You can configure Email enabled Document Libraries in MOSS 2007, this will achive exactly the same as you want it to be.

As currently a lot of the clients are still not using outlook 2007, the first priority is to make use of Exchange 2007 PF.

If your advise is that Exchange can do what I need, do you hve a sample for me to try?
