    Problem with Audioences

Audiences seens to be easy to configure, but so far I have not be able to do it in the right way.

    - I am able to create the audience and compile the audiences as well. If I want to target one web part to any particlar audiences, it does not work. Everybody is able to see all the web parts and content inside.

I checked all the membes of the audiences and is fine..!!!

Also, why I can see a webpart which does not have any audience selected ??

    Thanks

    Problem with Audioences

    Hi Victor,

Audiences work a litte diferent than the way they are expected to. They have not control of users rights so you may try to change your strategy. You can create subareas (subtopics) so yo can link a subarea to a certain group of users and then apply audience to that subarea. This way only the expected users will see their news or whenever you want them to see. Other things are the alerts ..we are still studing how to achieve that alerts work in this way...THIS IS SHAREPOINT

Let me know if this helps you. If this answer was useful you could rate it.

    Thanks,

Audiences mechanism  should let you define web part visibility for a selected audience - on SPS.

did u test it by logging as a user which is NOT an administrator on the portal?
