    Auto upload?

I'm new to sharepoint and have been given a new project and where there are potentially several hundred documents scanned each day to different folders on a server, all under the same root folder.

Is there a "folder watcher" type of function, where sharepoint will search the root folder for new documents, and automatically upload them to a doc library in the sharepoint site??

    Thanks

    Re: Auto upload?

    Randy,

Can you adjust the physical workflow abit? If you can have the documents initially loaded into one, central library by the people processing the documents, you can build a workflow that will analyze the documents and move them to where you would like.

I you'd like a detailed solution, post your question in the WorkFlow section of Stump the Panel, and Paul Grenier or Paul Galvin will take a shot at it.

    Re: Auto upload?

    hey randy!

we have developed herefore sharxx. I have posted here a few information about it http://community.officesharepointpro.com/forums/thread/29914.aspx

To answer your question - we have also integrate in sharxx the ability to specify a folder watcher to a specific folder and when there are documents they can be uploaded with attributes (even with a preview - to specify the attributes better) like shown in the screenshot.

If you are interested in more information (we are currenlty overworking our website) please don't hestiate to contact me office@sharxx.com. Of course the application is available in english.
