    Hi

     I was wondering if it were possible/safe to setup an extranet in the same farm as an intranet?

    I have a customer interested in setting up an extranet for customers and later down the road they want an intranet setup.

     I currently am looking into options, but didnt know if I should put the intranet in the same farm as the extranet...

     Does anyone have any advise?

    Of course it's safe. Sharepoint can be deployed in various zones (default, intranet, extranet, custom) with different security policies in each zone. From IIS point of view each zone is a separate web application accessing the same Sharepoint content using separate security context.
