    First Web site

    Hi,

I have what I am sure is a stupid question, but here goes.  I have just installed Sharepoint 2007 and createdt the administration site, personal, and SSP.  I want to create a web site for work for employees to access information from.  Do I create the site under the administration site, personal site, or SSP?  Do I create a new application and then do it from there?  Some confusion on my part as to when to create an application and when to create a web site.  Any help would be appreciated.  thanks.
