WSS3 Mapping and Explorer View Issues

I have an SBS 2003 server that I have installed WSS3 concurrently with WSS2 (per the MSFT whitepaper instructions).  The site works fine, but I have found the following capabilities are no longer available.  Any help would be appreciated.

    1) In WSS2, you could open Windows Explorer and map directly to a document store without having to access the SharePoint site.

     Example:  \\companyweb\[sitename]\[foldername]

I can't for the life of me figure out the mapping is for WSS3, and the MSFT forums haven't been helpful.

    2) Using a PC with XP and WSS2 or WSS3, you can view a document library in "Explorer View", making it easy to copy files in and our of the library.  However, when I try to do this with Vista, I am prompted for authentication creditendials, which is crazy since I am the site and domain administrator.  Even if I enter my logina and pwd, the prompt never passes.  Eventually I get the error:

"Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer"

    Any ideas?
