Odd behavior after Migration: Upgraded sites don't inherent Top-Level Master page settings

    Ok,

So I've upgraded from SPS 2003 to MOSS 2007, and it's pretty nice now that I've got everything working.

However, I'm noticing that my upgraded sites do not seem to be linked to the new top-level site in so far an inheriting Welcome page settings.

I further notice that if I go to the site settings for the individual sites (the upgraded ones), it appears that they do not have a Master Page option.

    I'm I missing something??

    Gerhard
