Restoring a sharepoint site with less than idea backups

    Hi,
    Im helping out a friends company who have been using the Dreaded SBS.
    They had a problem with the OS and tryed to fix it them selfs, needless to say it would only boot into safemode when i arrived.
    I have managed to rebuild the whole system into new Harddrives, Except the sharepoint site

    I have access to the old Harddrives. And I have coped over the Content database and the configuration database. I have given the administrators full rights to them and i still can seam to get the site up.
    I keep ketting the following meessage when i try and access it.

    "Cannot complete this action.

    Please try again."

    I am now at a loss.
    Any ideas are greatly appricated.
